I was born in New Zealand and raised in upstate New York, and I've always been an artist at heart. Music was my first love. I opened for Mac Miller in 2011 and tried to make it as a rapper, then as a music producer.

I graduated from Cornell and spent the next ten years trying to be a rockstar. I lived in New York and worked at Island Def Jam at 1755 Broadway, then moved to Philly. At 26 I was making $90 a day as a substitute teacher. At 27 Whole Foods turned me down to stock shelves. Some days I felt like I was losing my mind.

In 2018 I hit an all-time low and decided to start over. I moved to a small city in northern Thailand with a little over a grand and taught English online to make ends meet. It didn't take long to learn the power of location arbitrage. I gave up the music dream, and in that first year I started building my first online business, Beat School. I've been earning online ever since, and I've been abroad for 8+ years now.

I eventually sold the IP and moved into client work: copywriting, creative strategy, ads and sales. Along the way I've created courses for Grammy-winning musicians and written copy for brands doing $50M a year. I've also made ads for accounts spending $4M+ a month. That's the kind of work that has to actually convert or nobody cares.

Every client I've ever had, I found myself. LinkedIn, Upwork, cold email, a message to a friend. It was all built one message at a time.

Now I'm obsessed with helping people build income outside their day job, so they have the freedom to live wherever they want. That's what I'm building, and I'm calling it Client One.

I also write literary fiction, crime fiction and poetry.
